Reaction of 0-mesylcyanohydrins of fiuanos-2'-ulosyl cytosine with bases afforded B-Darabino-and r&o-2'-spim substituted nucleosides. Two of them exist. in solution, as mixtures of rotatiooally restricted "syn-arm' " isomers.
