## Abstract A new anthraquinone, 4‐hydroxy‐1,2,3‐trimethoxy‐6‐methylanthracene‐9,10‐dione (**1**), and two novel tetrahydroanthraquinones, prisconnatanones A and B (**2** and **3**, resp.), together with 15 known anthraquinones, **4**–**18**, were isolated from the roots of __Prismatomeris connata.
