## Abstract L'acide dinitro‐4,5‐iodo‐2‐benzoïque est obtenu, par voie diazoïque, à partir de l'acide dinitro‐4,5‐anthranilique. Dans le nouveau composé, le groupe nitro situé en 4 est mobile; il en est de même dans le dérivé iodosé correspondant.
In the molecule of the title compound, C 8 H 10 IN, the I, N and methyl C atoms lie in the benzene ring plane. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen bonds may be effective in stabilizing the structure.
