In the title compound, C 7 H 4 ClNO 4 , the molecules form centrosymmetric dimers through OÐHÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds. The dimers are connected by CÐHÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds to form molecular tapes. Disorder of the H atom in the OÐ HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bond is suggested.
