In the title compound, C 13 H 14 N 2 O 3 SÁH 2 O, the benzoyl group lies out of the plane of the N 2 CS thiourea unit, having a C carbonyl -N-C-S torsion angle of 119.4 (4) . The crystal structure is stabilized by N-HÁ Á ÁO, O-HÁ Á ÁO, C-HÁ Á ÁO and C-HÁ Á ÁS intermolecular hydrogen bonds, forming a twodimensional network.
