In the crystal structure of the title compound, (2APH) + -(5FSAH) À (2AP is 2-aminopyridine and 5FSAH 2 is 5formylsalicylic acid) or C 5 H 7 N 2 + ÁC 8 H 5 O 4 À , (2APH) + cations and (5FSAH) À anions are connected through hydrogen bonds, forming a one-dimenstional chain structure.
