The title compound, C~13~H~15~N~2~ ^+^Β·C~14~H~11~O~3~ ^β^, is a molecular salt in which the conformation of the anion is stabilized by an intramolecular OβH...O interaction. The species are linked by an NβH...O bond and further hydrogen bonds lead to infinite one-dimensional chains along [010].

β¦ Synopsis
In the title salt, C~5~H~7~N~2~

^β^, the cation and anion interact through NβH...O hydrogen bonds involving the protonated NH group of the cation and the hydroxyl group of the anion. Both H atoms of the NH~2~ group in the cation are engaged in NβH...O hydrogen bonds with the carbonyl groups of two symmetry-related anions, forming an infinite one-dimensional chain in the [100] direction.

The asymmetric unit of the title salt, C~12~H~13~N~2~O^+^Β·C~14~H~11~O~3~ ^β^, contains two cations and two anions, in which cationβanion pairs are linked together by an NβH...O hydrogen bond. An intramolecular OβH...O hydrogen bond occurs within each anion and forms an __S__(5) ring. These component

A new complex of 2-aminopyridine and maleate in 1:1 stoichiometric ratio was obtained. The complex crystallizes in non-centrosymmetric space group Pc. This complex is held by network of hydrogen bonding between the protonated 2-aminopyridinium cation and maleate anion and also by pi-pi stacking. The
