✦ Synopsis


The title compound, [Ag(C~8~H~10~NO~3~S)(H~2~O)]·H~2~O, has a mononuclear structure in which the Ag^+^ cation is two-coordinated by one N atom from a 2-amino-4,5-dimethylbenzenesulfonate anion and one water O atom in a nearly linear arrangement. A network of O—H...O and N—H...O hydrogen bonds helps to consolidate the crystal packing.
