✦ Synopsis

In the title molecule, C 21 H 19 ClF 3 NO 2 , the 5-chlorophenyl and 4-methoxybenzyl groups are twisted slightly with respect to the amine group [dihedral angles = À8.4 (2) and 13.6 (2) ] and with respect to each other [6.2 (7) ], forming a nearly planar arrangement. The crystal packing is stabilized by intramolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonding between the amine H atom and the hydroxyl O atom. In addition, intermolecular hydrogen bonding between the same amine H atom and an F atom, N-HÁ Á ÁF, and between the methoxy O atom and the hydroxyl H atom, O-HÁ Á ÁO, adds to this stability.
