✦ Synopsis

The title compound, C 18 H 22 N 2 O 3 , consists of a tetracyclic ring system containing an azocino skeleton with a dimethoxyethyl group as a substituent. The benzene and five-membered rings are nearly coplanar, with a dihedral angle of 1.26 (8) . In the crystal structure, intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains parallel to the b axis.
