✦ Synopsis
The reaction of endo-cis-7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2,3diol with BCl 3 followed by acetylation with acetyl chloride gives dichloroconduritol derivatives. The crystal structure of the title compound, C 10 H 12 Cl 2 O 4 , has been investigated. The cyclohexene ring adopts a distorted half-chair conformation.
