Order parameters describing conformational exchange processes on the nanosecond to microsecond timescale can be obtained from powder patterns in solid-state NMR (SSNMR) experiments. Extensions of these experiments to magic-angle spinning (MAS) based high-resolution experiments have been demonstrated

✦ Synopsis
The recoupling of ~3C-IH dipolar interactions by applying ~3C pulses under a ~H decoupling rf field is discussed. It is theoretically and experimentally shown that ]3C spectral line-broadening due to such recoupling in a ]3C "n-pulse train can be minimized by setting the rf field intensity for ~H decoupling to around three times that for I3C "i'¢ pulses, or stronger.
