β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
The ^13^C n.m.r. spectrum of benzofuroxan at β15Β°C is assigned on the basis of selective decoupling experiments and by comparison with the ^13^C chemical shifts of model compounds. The ^13^C spectra were also measured in trifluoroacetic acid as a solvent. From the temperature dependence of the ^13^C spectrum of benzofuroxan in CDCl~3~, a barrier of 14Β·0 Β± 0Β·2 kcal mol^β1^ is obtained for the degenerate tautomerism in this compound.

## Abstract The ^13^C NMR spectra of the diterpenoid aminoglycoside wedeloside and certain of its derivatives, representatives of a new kaurenoid series, have been assigned. Shift calculations and labelling experiments have established a general substituent additivity relationship for chemical shif
NMR spectra of all-trans retinal, and vitamin A, were measured by the pulse Fourier transform method in CCI,. All peaks in these spectra were assigned from considerations of chemical shifts, half proton-decoupled spectra, spin-lattice relaxation times and induced chemical shift by the addition of sh
Proton and carbon-13 spectra of benzyl compounds of the general formula (C,H,CH,),X with a large variety of X substituents have been measured. While a linear relationship between the CH, chemical shift and the substituent electronegativity was found both for lH and lac, large deviations from lineari
## Abstract Complete assignments are made for 23 4βquinolones and related compounds. Literature data are used to calculate chemical shifts for 17 of these compounds: calculated and experimental shifts are in excellent agreementβall within 5 ppm for nine of the compounds and a maximum discrepancy of
