The title compound, C 20 H 14 N 12 S 2 , was synthesized by the reaction of 3-hydrazino-1H-1,2,4-triazole with phenyl isocyanate in benzene and by ring closure in an alkaline medium. Intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen bonds are observed and these form a five-membered ring.

In the title compound, C 15 H 14 N 4 OÁ2H 2 O, the 1,2,4-triazole, pyridine and benzene rings do not share a common plane. The crystal structure is stabilized by O-HÁ Á ÁN and O-HÁ Á ÁO intermolecular hydrogen-bond interactions.

In the title compound, C 15 H 19 N 5 OS, the morpholine ring adopts a chair conformation. The mean plane of the pyridine ring makes a dihedral angle of 35.16 (7) with the triazole ring plane.
