✦ Synopsis

Acetoacetylferrocene reacted with cobalt chloride and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine in methanol to give the title complex, CoFe(C~5~H~5~)(C~9~H~8~O~2~)(C~6~H~18~N~4~)Cl·C~3~H~6~O, with acetoacetylferrocene and a tripod amine as ligands. The Co atom has slightly distorted octahedral coordination.
