<p>《无头将军（上中下）》包括《无头将军（上卷）》、《无头将军（中卷）》、《无头将军（下卷）》，讲的是革命英雄吴禄贞的故事，他在革命同志的支持下，收买了庆亲王，获得北洋军第六镇统领的职位。本想利用这支精锐的部队为革命出力，在清廷的会操时起义，辛亥革命爆发了。他的部下被抽调去武昌镇压革命军，他被派往滦州阻止兵谏，却与士官三杰中的另两个联合起来，力阻淸廷出兵镇圧。清廷发现他的革命动向，用山西巡抚的高官厚禄贿赂他。吴禄贞表面接受，暗地里却联络山西与东北革命军起义，被推举为燕京联军大将军，拟夹攻北京，推翻清王朝。但当夜被暗杀在石家庄火车站，年轻头颅被叛将割去献给袁世凯，真正为革命抛了头颅。
