A)主语中心词为单数名词、不可数名词时,谓语动词用单数形式。主语中心词为复数名词时,谓语动词用复数形式。
B)如果主语表示一个抽象概念,谓语动词通常用单数。
C)在定语从句中谓语动词的单、复数形式通常依“先行词的数”而定
D)在“存在句”中,谓语动词be 的数一般采取就近原则,第一个并列成分是单数,动词就用单数,否则就用复数。
E)主语以后有along with,as well as,except,in addition to,together with 等引导的介词短语或其他从属结构时,动词的数不受影响
