The structure of the title complex, [Ni 2 (C 5 H 7 O 2 ) 4 (H 2 O) 2 ]Á-0.5H 2 O, is dimeric and corresponds to the trimeric structure of bis(acetylacetonato)nickel(II) in which one Ni(acac) 2 unit is replaced by two water molecules. The centrosymmetric molecule comprises two O-O edge-shared octahed

✦ Synopsis
The coordination of [Ti(hfaa)~2~Cl~2~] (hfaa = hexafluoroacetylacetonate) with the hydroxyl-containing bidentate ligand 2,2′-biphenol yielded the title compound, [{Ti(hfaa)~2~}~2~(μ-2,2′-biphenolato)(μ-oxo)] or [Ti~2~(C~5~HF~6~O~2~)~4~(C~12~H~8~O~2~)O]. The molecule has crystallographic twofold rotation symmetry. The biphenolate ligand bridges the two Ti atoms.

The title compound, [Sn 4 (CH 3 ) 8 (C 6 H 5 N 2 O 2 ) 4 O 2 ]Á6H 2 O, is a hydrated cluster containing four Sn atoms, built up by inversion symmetry around the central Sn 2 O 2 ring. The Snatom coordination geometry might be regarded as very distorted SnO 3 C 2 trigonal-bipyramidal or possibly as g
