Abstract
The theory of γ‐magnetic resonance (GMR) in paramagnetic crystals in the presence of electronic spin relaxation is discussed. A general expression for the GMR lineshapes applicable to the spectrum with or without quadrupole interactions is derived. The theory is applied to the calculation of the GMR lineshapes for an ^57^Fe nucleus for different values of the electronic relaxation rate. The results obtained can be used to investigate the dynamics of the electronic‐nuclear system.
