The project on the 17 m ¢ telescope, dubbed MAGIC (Major _Atmospheric Gamma Imaging Cherenkov Telescope), is dedicated for 7 astrophysics in the energy range from 10-30 GeV till 50-100 TeV. MAGIC will for the first time allow to explore with very high sensitivity the energy range 10-300 GeV and to bridge the existing energy gap between satellite and grmmd-based air Cherenkov measurements.
