## Abstract Reactive astrocytes surround amyloid depositions and degenerating neurons in Alzheimer's disease (AD). It has been previously shown that β‐amyloid peptide induces inflammatory‐like responses in astrocytes, leading to neuronal pathology. Reactive astrocytes up‐regulate nerve growth facto
