A redetermination at 150 K of the structure of violuric acid monohydrate, C 4 H 3 N 3 O 4 ÁH 2 O, confirms that the space group is non-centrosymmetric Cmc2 1 , despite indications from the intensity statistics and possible molecular symmetry that it could be centrosymmetric Cmcm. The X-ray crystal structure of the title compound, [ZnCl(C 6 H 14 NO 3 )], was redetermined with a CCD area detector at 150 (2) K. The crystal appeared to be nonmerohedrally twinned. Appropriate handling of the twinning, together with the low measurement temperature, allowed the localization and re®
