a-Cyclodextrin complexation of 34l2NC&O(CH$,JW2 inhibits by 40 and 15%, respectively, the efficiency of base-catalyzed and uncatalyzed photo-Smiles rearrangement for n = 2; a-CD complexation inhibits the photorearrangement efficiency of n = 3 by 40% in the base-catalyzed regime but enhances the efficiency by 67% in the uncatalyzed regime.
