Iron complexes / Ruthenium complexes Transition-Metal-Substituted Diphosphenes, XXIII') -Studies on the Synthesis and Reactivity of Dihalophosphido Complexes of Iron and Ruthenium (q5-CsMe5)(CO),FeP(SiMe,), (1 a) reacts with two equivalents C5Me5)(C0),FePI2PZ (10). The same result is obtained when 1 a of C2C16 to give the dichlorophosphido complex (q5-C5Me5)-is treated with only one equivalent of CzCk. In addition the (C0)zFePC12 (2a).The latter is easily converted into (11"-dihalophosphido complexes ( T ~-C ~M ~~) ( C O ) ~R U P C ~~ (2c), (q5-C,Me,)(CO),FeP( =E)ClZ (3 E = S; 4: E = Se) by treatment C5H5)(C0)(PPh3)FePCl2 (2b), (q5-C5Me5)(CO)2FePBr2 (2d), and with the respective chalcogen. The reaction of 1 a with 2a ( I ~~-C ~M ~, ) ( C O ) ~F ~P I ~ (2e), and the cyclotriphosphane [(q5leads to a mixture of the cyclotriphosphane [(q5-C5Me5)-C5Me5)(C0)2R~P]3 are synthesized.
