Abstract

Es wird über Friedel‐Crafts‐Acylierungen von p‐Cymol mit einigen aliphatischen. Säurechloriden und Benzolychlorid berichtet. Das erhaltene Acetocymon wurde nach MANNICH mit Dimethylamin‐hydrochlorid umgesetzt. Die erhaltene Verbindung besitzt eine geringe anästhisierende Wirkung.

Ferner werden Umsetzungen der 1‐Methyl‐4‐isopropyl‐zimtsäure‐2 einmal zum 2‐Vinyl‐p‐cymol und zum anderen zur p‐Cymylpropinsäure‐2 über die α‐β‐Dibrom‐p‐cymyl‐propionsäure‐2 beschrieben. Das 2‐Vinyl‐p‐cymol läßt sich zu glasklaren Blöcken polymerisieren.

## Abstract Es wird die Darstellung von 1‐Methyl‐4‐isopropyl‐zimtaldehyd durch Aldolkondensation beschrieben. Mit Acrolein in Gegenwart von absolutem Alkohol und Ätzkali läβt sich p‐Cymaldehyd‐2 zum β‐p‐Cymyl‐α‐methoxyäthylacrolein umsetzen, während man mit Methacrolein den β‐Hydroxy‐propionaldehyd
