✦ Synopsis

Abstract

α‐Ionon und 5‐Oxo‐α‐ionon geben bei Zusatz von Alkalilauge zur alkoholischen Lösung rote, nicht sehr beständige Farbreaktionen, die auf der Bildung von Alkalisalzen dieser beiden Verbindungen beruhen. Die Absorptionsspektra der beiden roten Salze zeigen ein Absorptionsmaximum bei 510 mm̈. Da β‐Ionon keine ähnliche Farbreaktion aufweist, kann diese zur annähernden Bestimmung kleiner Mengen α‐Ionon in β‐Ionon dienen.
