## Abstract A protein fraction has been prepared from the “soluble” fraction of rat liver which contains an active myokinase. The enzyme is stable in n/10 HCl at 100° C., like muscle myokinase; it is only weakly inhibited by fluoride. The adenosine phosphates have been separated by ion‐exchange on

## Abstract A D.P.N.‐dependent dehydrogenase has been found in rat‐ and pig‐liver extracts. It catalyses the reduction of DL‐glyceraldehyde to glycerol. The equilibrium of this reaction strongly favours glycerol. The enzyme acts only weakly on dihydroxyacetone.
