KARRER aus der Rinde von Strychnos toxifera3) isoliert worden. Zusammen mit C-Toxiferin-I4), C-Alkaloid H 5), C-Iso-dihydro-toxiferin z), Alkaloid Z 6 ) , Caracurin-Va7) und Caracurin-VI8) gehort es in eine Gruppe von dimeren Alkaloiden rnit gleichem, vermutlich a-Methylen-indolin-Chromophor 5, und (soweit bekannt) hoher negativer Drehung ([. C-Dihydro-toxiferin (I) zahlt zu den stark toxischen C,,-Alkaloiden ". Es enthalt 2 N-CH,-Gruppen und liefert bei der Ozonolyse Acetaldehyd,). Bei der Dehydrierung rnit Schwefel oder Zinkstaub hat man aus C
