Abstract

A new method of recording more precise direct diagrams of electrophoresis, diffusion and ultracentrifuge experiments by aid of a new phase‐plate is described. This new method avoids the disadvantages of the line diagram (disturbances by diffraction effects), of the wire diagram and of the ordinary phase‐plate diagram (partially blurred lines), writing a clear and sharp black line throughout on a bright background.
