✦ Synopsis
The electrochemical behaviour of electrolytically deposited chromium has been investigated by potentiostatic measurements in alkaline potassium sulphate solution. The electrodes used differed in their crystallographic structure which was either cubic or hexagonal.
The crystallographic structure of the metal strongly influences the electrochemical behaviour, e.g. hydrogen overvoltage, corrosion current, tendency for passivation etc.
ResUmB-etude du comportement Clectrochimique du cadmium d6pos6 tlectrolytiquement, au moyen de mesures potentiostatiques de solutions de sulfate en milieu alcalin de potasse. Les 6lectrodes utili&s diffkrent par leurs structures cristallines, tantbt cubique, tan& hexagonale. La structure cristallographique du m&al influence, en fait, fortement le comportement &ctrochimique, tels qu'en t6moignent la surtension d'hydrogkne, le courant de corrosion, la tendance A la passivite etc.
