Abstract

The title compound is a narcotic analgesic belonging to the 4 phenyl piperidine family. Its crystal structure has been investigated by X‐ray diffraction in order to ascertain the molecular conformation and compare it to those of other derivatives of this family such as phenoperidine, meperidine and β‐prodine.
