Avant de célébrer son seizième anniversaire, Aurélie Laflamme a plusieurs choses à faire : terminer sa quatrième secondaire (obligatoire selon la loi), se trouver un travail (obligatoire selon sa mère), faire des boîtes (obligatoire selon les déménageurs) et, surtout, rester zen. De plus, elle doit se préparer mentalement à aller passer quelques jours en camping (une activité qu'elle déteste) avec ses grands-parents Charbonneau.
Et si elle décidait d'y rester afin d'apprivoiser la vie sauvage? Après tout, malgré la présence d'animaux potentiellement dangereux, l'absence de connexion Internet et les araignées géantes, le grand air peut être bénéfique à tout le monde (surtout quand on veut s'éloigner d'une nouvelle maison dans laquelle on n'a pas envie d'habiter...). Même si les grands changements sont parfois terrifiants, il est temps qu'Aurélie mette ses craintes en boîte, emballe ses souvenirs et se tourne vers l'avenir.
