Molecule Linkage by Sulfur Chlorides. VIII. The Rearrangement of the Anti‐MARKOVNIKOV 2:1‐Adducts from Allyl‐phenyl‐ethers and Sulfur Dichloride to the Regioisomeric Compounds
The anti‐MARKOVNIKOV 2:1‐adducts 2 (bis‐(1‐chlor‐3‐phenoxy‐prop‐2‐yl)‐sulfane) of allyl‐phenyl‐ethers 1 have been rearranged by refluxing in ethanol to the regioisomers 3 (bis‐(2‐chlor‐3‐phenoxy‐prop‐1‐yl)‐sulfane). The products were identified by ^1^H‐n.m.r., ^13^C‐n.m.r. spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy.
