On the Validity of Steady State Principle

Considering the simple case
reduced concentrations were calculated by solving the exact differential rate equation by assuming a steady state and by assuming an „equilibrium”︁ between A~1~ and A~2~. In a broad field of reduced rate constants K~i~/k~1~ the range in which these assumptions are valid within ±5% was determined for different values of time.
