Abstract
2,2′‐Dihydroxy‐3,3′‐dimethyl‐5,5′‐di‐t‐butyl‐1,1′‐azobenzene has been metallized to the 1 : 2‐Co‐(III)‐complex. In addition to the main product a further complex was isolated by chromatography in a yield of about 2% and proved to be an isomer of the main complex. The cause of the isomerism could not be elucidated.
