Es wird der qualitative Nachweis von 1 2 Xanthen-Farbstoffen in Lippenstiften beschrieben. Der Nachweis wird als Vororientierung diinnschicht-chromatographisch und nach Elution des Farbstoffes von der Dunnschichtplatte durch das Absorptionsund Fluorescenzspektrum gefiihrt. Die Moglichkeit der quantitativen fluorimetrischen Bestimmung von Xanthen-Farbstoffen wird am Beispiel von Rhodamin-B und Fluorescein gezeigt. Eine Arbeitsvorschrift zur Aufarbeitung von Lippenstiften wird angegeben.

Fluorimetric Determination of Xanthene Colouring Materials in Lipstidcs

The qualitative detection of 12 xanthene colouring agents in lipsticks is described. The detection is carried out by preliminary screening using thin-layer chromatography and after elution of the colouring matter from thin-layer plate by means of absorption and fluorescence spectra. The possibility of quantitative fluorimetric determination of xanthene colouring materials is indicated with the examples of rhodamine-B and fluorescein. A procedure for working up lipstidts is given.
