✦ Synopsis

The diffusion coefficients and solubilities of Hf i n Ni were measured with tht? electionprobe at. sandwich samples. The tempcrature dependence of the diffusion coefficients of Hf in Ti was compared with the corresponding values of the system Ti in Ni. In b0t.h systems was found a good accordance with the Arrheniiis relation wit,hin four orders of magnitude. The solubility of Hf in Ni is found to be noarly by the factor 2 larger t,han the values known from esrlirr papers.
