EXTRACTION OF TRACE ASTIMONP(V) IGI
experiments were performed using original aqueous acid concentrations from o to I 2N and nonaqueous phases of ethyl ether, isopropyl ether: isoamyl ether, n-hcsyl cthcr, and chloroform. Dielectric constant determinations were made in the cquilibratcd non-aqueous phases, and spcctrophotometric and salting-out studies were carried out on the ethyl ether system. It was found that the isopropyl ether system presents the most advantageous conditions for the cstrnction of trace antimony(V). REFEREKCES 1 P. MYLIIJS ASD C. HUTTNER. Ber., ++ (rgr I) 1315. z I:. N. ## Abstract The acidity constants of Alizarine Red S were determined spectrophotometrically at 25 Β°C and at constant ionic strength 0.1 M (KNO~3~) in pure water as well as in aqueous media containing variable mole percentages (5β70 %) of organic solvents. The organic solvents used were methanol, et
