✦ Synopsis

The synthesis of chelating diamidodibenzyl complexes of the type Zr( 2)] is described. The fluxionality of these complexes in solution has been studied by means of variable-temperature NMR. In the presence of one equivalent of a suitable alkyl abstractor, these compounds proved to behave as moderately active ethylene polymerization catalysts.
