Adsorption onto zirconium-loaded activated charcoal ( ZrC \* ) allows the efficient collection of arsenic, selenium and mercury from aqueous solutions in a thin layer, and at the same time removes or minimizes elemental interferences. When this preconcentration method is combined with energy dispers
