HYDAC ACQUIRES SCHROEDER INDUSTRIES
The Hydac Group, the German-based manufacturer of fluid-power products, has acquired the assets of Schroeder Industries for an undisclosed sum.
Previously a division of ALCO Industries Inc, the acquisition will operate as Schroeder Industries LLC, and will continue to function as a stand-alone company. Schroeder will retain its existing distribution network, and says customers will continue to receive the same customer service and products.
US-based Schroeder operates two divisions -the fluid power division focuses on filtration and diagnostic products for the hydraulic and lubrication markets, while the energy products division manufactures specialty filtration systems and capital equipment for the energy industry. It has manufacturing facilities in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Cumberland, Maryland.
Michael Lamers has been appointed executive vice president and general manager of Schroeder Industries LLC. He has many years of experience in the fluid power and related industries.
Hydac views the acquisition as an excellent opportunity to expand its overall North American presence.
