✦ Synopsis

The title molecule, C 20 H 20 N 2 O 2 S, exits in the Z form and the five-membered imidazole ring and the benzene ring of the 4methoxybenzylidene moiety are almost coplanar. Short intramolecular contacts [CÁ Á ÁS = 3.138 (4) A ˚and CÁ Á ÁN = 3.060 (4) A ˚] indicate the presence of weak C-HÁ Á ÁS and C-HÁ Á ÁN intramolecular hydrogen bonds.
