✦ Synopsis

In this paper we describe the crystal graph of an irreducible module of highest weight NΞ› 0 of U q ( sl(n)), where N ∈ N and Ξ› 0 is a fundamental weight, in terms of N-tuples of coloured Young diagrams. This description differs from that given by Jimbo, Misra, Miwa and Okado, and allows us to obtain an explicit set of inequalities defining the cone whose lattice points give the image of one of the Kashiwara embeddings.
