✦ Synopsis

The technology industry is constantly evolving. Just a few years ago, the hot technologies were IPSec VPN and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). Now SSL has seen impressive growth in areas that used to be strongholds for IPSec VPN (for example, remote access security). Another trend we have seen more recently is that detecting worm and virus attacks is not enough security for enterprise networks. Intrusion detection and prevention systems are needed to counteract the prevailing network attacks.
