✦ Synopsis
We have earlier reported the isolation of the binaphthaquinones, diospyrin and (-) isodiospyrin from the wood of Diospyros chloroxylon'.
We nom report the isolation of a nsm trinaphthylenequinone from the sane source and name it Kylospyrin.
On chromatography of the crude chloroform extract of the wood on a silica gel column with chloroform-benacne (4:1), 'I-methyljuglone elutes first.
Other successive fractions contain diospyrin, diospyrin-isodiospyrio mixture and diospyrin-xylospyrin mixture.
