✦ Synopsis

On the basis of the analysis of IR spectroscopic data it was assumed that the adsorbing entity in the system lead sulfide-aqueous xanthate solution is lead xanthate in molecular form. Starting from this assumption it was shown that the quantitative data on the adsorption of xanthate at the PbS surface may be described by "classical" adsorption isotherms, for example, the Frumkin isotherm.
