✦ Synopsis
The X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPSI for new coordination compounds of the type (Co im A2 @a)] have been studied (im = imidazol; A = amino acid: DLti-amino butyric acid, D-leucine, DL-valine, DL-serine. DL-norvaline). The uptake of molecular oxygen is found to be accompanied by a considerable transfer of the electron density from &(I!) to 02, The active centre may be described as COUII)-OFa

## Abstract Oxygenation of solutions containing bis(ethylenediamine) cobalt(II) ions leads to a mixture of diastereomeric forms of μ‐peroxo‐μ‐hydroxo‐bis[bis(ethylenediamine) cobalt(III)] cations. The existence of a meso‐isomer has now been proved by its isolation as perchlorate and by an X‐ray str
