✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The X‐ray refractive index of lithium fluoride was measured to an accuracy of a few parts in 10^9^ over the wavelength range from AgKΞ²~1~ (Ξ» = 0.497058 Γ…) to CuKΞ±~1~ (Ξ» = 1.54053 Γ…). From these results the scattering factor for the forward direction and the anomalous dispersion corrections for fluorine were calculated. Good agreement was obtained with the values calculated using HΓΆnl's dispersion theory.

## Abstract Sodium fluoride (NaF), which stimulates bone formation, and bisphosphonates, which reduce bone resorption, are both used in the treatment of osteoporosis, and are binding to bone mineral. In this study, using small‐angle X‐ray scattering and backscattered electron imaging, we analyzed t
