Abstract

X‐ray K~β~~5~‐emission spectra from manganese and five borides have been obtained under primary and secondary excitation. The investigation of the borides included also measurements of the B K‐emission band of each compound and of pure boron. The resolution for the Mn K‐band was 0.2 eV and for the B K‐band 0.1 eV. The structures of the spectra of both components are compared and discussed in view of their concentration dependence.
