The tensile behavior of a Ti-11%Zr-14%Nb-10%Sn alloy with pure orthorhombic Λ phase was studied by in situ X-ray diffraction using synchrotron radiation. It is found that no phase transformation happens during the whole tensile process. The "double-yielding" platforms of this alloy are indeed due to

## Abstract **Summary:** Solutionβgrown lamellar crystals of poly(__p__βdioxanone) (PPDX) have been crystallized isothermally from butaneβ1,4βdiol at 100βΒ°C. The crystal structure of PPDX has been determined by interpretation of Xβray fiber diagrams of PPDX fibers and electron diffraction diagrams
On the basis of an X-ray diffraction study, a model is proposed for the crystal and molecular structure of poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide). The monoclinic (pseudo-orthorh6mbic) unit cell [a = 7.87 A, b = 5.18 A, c (fibre axis) = 12.9A and ), = 90 ] possesses Pn or P21/n space-group symmetry. Two m
